If you've been following my adventures over the past few months, you surely noticed that I'm the happy (and somewhat unlucky) owner of an endearing little Renault Clio that is in its thirties. It's normally my main vehicle, but right now it's complicated!
So I know, I spent a lot of time on it already, and everything I repaired works well! The brakes, the cylinder head, the valve stem seals, the starter... everything works! Not to mention the broken locks, flat tires and other batteries and exhaust pipes...
But;
Yes, there is a but;
She currently consumes almost half a liter of engine oil per 100km (yes, yes you read that right), there are not a thousand possible explanations, there is a
piston ring problem. It changes, but it's a big job that involves completely dismantling the engine and taking it out of the car... I can't do it now, I have to organize myself and study that, so that will wait a bit, but I will do it!
In the meantime, unfortunately, I will avoid driving it too much, already to prevent the problem from getting worse and then because the engine oil costs too much to burn it in the engine and then, burn oil, I guess it pollutes.
Adventure to follow… and
the kitty continues because it will still cost more :(
Any help will be really welcome!
Ps. Some pics and videos from one of the last releases :)
